Watercolor
PROMPT FROM IMT:
This week let’s have some fun with watercolors. Experiment with watercolor paper, watercolor paints, watercolor pencils. Or, for the computer savvy, how about digital watercolor painting? Whatever your previous experience with watercolors, try to challenge yourself in a new way.
I really don't do watercolors, except for perhaps a background wash..or drips of color flowing down pages...So this is a bit of a stretch for me!! With that being said, I think it is because I cannot control the blending of the colors the way I do with acrylic!! OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE!! I will have to try to play with this a little more...someone gave me a watercolor for klutz's book...Think I will go and pull that out of hiding!!
So here is my water...watercolor!! TEE-HEE!
Wishing all who enter here a "waterful" and colorful creative day!!
Artfully Yours,
Pattie

It's beautiful!
Pattie, this is lovely, and so cheerful! I almost expect the sun to start blowing bubbles underwater! I know what you mean about that comfort zone -- I like to have more control than I can get with watercolor, and I'm working hard at just letting go. I suppose that control issue is why I add ink lines to my watercolors. I just can't release my grip on that pen!
I love this..
Looks like I could dive right in and be soothed by it all.
Thanks for stopping by my blog & for the kind comments. I love yours too! It's so simply beautiful.
Water is my favourite environment, I like the swirls in blue and purple! *^v^*
Swimming in turquoise glass
With emerald sea dust sparkling
in the summer sun!
Wish I were a dolphin riding the waves of your magical surf!
Swirly and beautiful! Thanks so much for your kind words :)
I dont know why you feel like outside your zone, you did a beautiful job as usual, you are so talented, and i admire your work.
Like all your work, there is such joy! I think the trick with watercolors is letting go....
The swirls really make this one come to life! Your DNA piece is great too--very cool take on the prompt.

I know what you mean...watercolors have always been a challenge for me too. But I had fun with this week's theme just going with the flow. Looks like you did, too! I could see this becoming a sun catcher with all the bold, bright colors. :)
Just love your work! The colors are so amazing! I love your DNA one as well! I was traveling for work and computerless :) Keep up the marvelous work!
Hey there. Some how in making my rounds and checking out stuff I missed yours. So here I am.
Um. Can I go swimming in this? :) I dig it.
Also you said do tell re: painting on a window with watercolor...
I just painted on it. There was no special thing about painting on glass. However I didn't use as much water as you might normally and went over it more than once.
